Quality Management System in the National Health Insurance Fund of the Republic of Serbia (NHIF) is based on the process approach and striving for continuous improvement. The National Health Insurance Fund is the first health insurance fund in the region to have implemented an internationally recognized quality management system in accordance with ISO 9001:2008 and Information Security Management System ISO 27001:2005.
All processes necessary for ensuring the implementation of health insurance coverage are documented in the National Health Insurance Fund.
The certification audit of quality management system in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 27001:2005 standards was conducted in SHIF from 20 to 23 August 2012 by the certification body “SGS Beograd”.
Obtaining of the certificate verifies that the processes defined in NHIF take place in accordance with the prescribed procedures and instructions, quality assurance policy and the commitment of SHIF to meet all customer requirements and requirements under regulations and the leadership position in the health insurance system.
